The MadStitcher

My name is Kathy Geddes-Bonham but I am most known in the needlework industry as The Mad Stitcher.

I got this name years ago because of my love for stitching. I have been doing all types of needlework since I was about 5 years old when my Mother taught me to crochet and then free hand embroidery. I found counted cross stitch when I was 19 and have never looked back. I have extended my search for more complex designs including beadwork, hardanger, cutwork, and drawn thread. But simply put, I Love Needlework.

I became a model stitcher in 1994 for Karen Weaver of Black Swan Designs

Then quickly became part of the community by stitching for Teresa Wentzler of TWDesignworks, Jennifer Aikman-Smith of Dragon Dreams, Inc., Marc Saastad of The Silver Lining, Tracy Horner of Ink Circles, Vilma Becklin of Examplar Dames/Examplars From The Heart, and more.

I started designing for my own pleasure and several people encouraged me to share these designs with others. So MadStitcher Designs was born. This venture into needlework sales just seems to be a natural extension to what I have been doing—sharing my love for the needle arts to anyone I meet.

We have grown rapidly and I am continuing to add new designers and new products weekly.
